Bigger Stronger, Faster * MOVIE

This weekend I got a chance to watch the documentary "Bigger, Stronger, Faster*", courtesy of Netflix, and I LOVED it!

I liked it because it really brought me back to my younger years (back in the 80s) when wrestlers, movies, and athletes were iconic figures because of their strength and stature. Chris Bell (filmmaker) really gets into a comedic depth about steroids and how the effects of self-image drives people to take them. Great footage of WestSide and Lou Simmons, as well as a great interviewing with Dr. Yelasysis and the filmmaker's brothers. For those of you that are between the ages of will get a kick out of some of this stuff--especially if you were into alot of the things that these guys were into growing up. There's nothing like "being taken back" to a time when you were growing up and beginning to form your character based on what you saw/experienced. It is definitely a time-capsule of sorts.

For those of you wanting to learn more about steroids and other performance enhancing drugs, this is a great piece without all the "expert" input and scientific jargon. Go rent it! Izzo gives it 5 stars.
